On behalf of the entire Peter Island team, we say Thank You! The support and kindness we have felt from all of you during this difficult time has been overwhelming and it has warmed our hearts to know how loved we are, not just as a resort, but as a country and destination in the Caribbean.

Damage assessments are still underway from Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and like many similarly situated properties, we unfortunately have to share that the resort will remain closed for the duration of 2017 and into late 2018. We do not have a reopen date yet as this will depend on the progress of the BVI government to restore normal operations, the return of staff, and our rebuild.  The combination of these factors will be the basis of our eventual reopen date. Until we are confident we can provide you, our valued Peter Island guests, the experience you deserve, we will not be taking reservations for future bookings.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming you once again as a valued guest to Peter Island Resort & Spa in the future.

Peter Island Resort & Spa Caribbean Food Festival

The Caribbean is fast becoming a hotbed in the culinary world, with the area not only attracting amazing chefs, but now producing them. And those chefs are sharing their talents across the globe – bringing with them Caribbean flavors, cooking techniques and ingredients – so our culinary influences can be seen on some of the best menus in the world. The Peter Island Caribbean Food Festival’s goal is to celebrate Caribbean food and cooking techniques, enlisting the help of some of the region’s brightest talents to join us. With the assistance of the BVI Tourist Board and restaurant community, the festival will also be raising proceeds for the Peter Island Culinary Scholarship Fund, which helps fund the further education of young, aspiring BVI culinary professionals.

Coinciding with the British Virgin Islands November Culinary Month, the second annual festival will take place on November 10 and 11, 2017 at Peter Island Resort & Spa.
